Slider Engineering is a structural engineering and consulting firm that specializes in issues concerning the building construction and exterior building envelopes. With over 100 years of combined experience, our team includes specialized experts for design, failure investigation, project management, condition assessment, moisture evaluation, stucco and cladding, concrete restoration, window replacement, turnover studies, milestone inspections, reserve studies, forensic engineering and peer review.
We are often described as problem solvers and problem preventers. Our staff works closely with our clients to protect their interests and to provide cost effective results. We are located throughout the state of Florida, but we also serve other areas in the country.

MEET RICK, PRESIDENT
Rick Slider has more than 40 years of experience providing structural/civil engineering services. In 2003 Rick decided to break out and start his own firm. He and his team have been working for over 20 years as Slider Engineering Group on projects for new buildings, renovations, and restorations.
Rick's continued professional development is evident by having served as President of the local Florida Engineering Society. Rick has also served as the President of the Southeast Florida Chapter of the International Concrete Repair Institute. In addition, he previously served on both the Code Advisory Board and the Code Enforcement Board for Palm Beach County.

Building owners, attorneys and insurance carriers rely heavily on Rick’s technical expertise. He’s a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the states of Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, a Certified General Contractor in Florida, and a highly acclaimed Project Manager. Rick also serves as a Certified Threshold Inspector in Florida.

MEET ALI, MANAGING PARTNER
Alireza Lotfi has over 35 years of experience providing structural/civil engineering services and serves as SEG owner representative. His expertise includes building designs, investigations, post tension/flat plate design and remediation, glazing engineering, building studies, building condition assessments, failure investigations, construction inspections, roofing replacement, plaza deck waterproofing, project management, and forensic engineering services.
His projects include new buildings, renovations, and restoration projects. Licensed in FL, GA, and NC. Project types include commercial office buildings, parking structures, educational facilities, correctional facilities, industrial facilities, condominiums, mixed-use buildings, and high-end residential projects. Mr. Lotfi has extensive experience in evaluations, assessments, repair specifications, and building envelope system plans.
