About the Role
As a Structural Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of structural engineering. This internship is designed to provide exposure to various aspects of structural analysis and project coordination. You will work closely with experienced engineers, participate in real-world projects, and contribute to the success of our engineering team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
• Structural Analysis
• Assist in performing structural analyses using relevant software tools and methods.
• Assist in destructive testing of building envelopes, parking garages, walkways, and other structures.
• Project Coordination
• Support project coordination activities by collaborating with multiple team members.
• Attend project meetings and assist in communication with other team members.
• Documentation
• Assist in preparing technical documentation, including engineering reports.
• Organize and maintain project files, drawings, photographs, and other relevant documentation.
• Site Visits
• Participate in site visits to observe construction activities and gain practical insights into structural engineering in the field.
• Document observations and contribute to project evaluation.
• Learning and Development
• Actively seek opportunities for learning and skill development within the field of structural engineering.
• Familiarize yourself with relevant building codes and regulations.
• Seek guidance and feedback from experienced engineers to enhance your skills.
Requirements
• Currently pursuing degree in Structural Engineering. • Strong academic performance in relevant coursework. • Basic understanding of structural analysis principles. • Proficiency in engineering software tools is a plus. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a team environment. • Driver’s License required. Duration and Schedule • Summer, 3-month internship or longer as schedule permits
